AI is learning everything designers know.
The people it learned from should own what it learns.
Every new model gets better at design. Layout, hierarchy, the instinct for what feels right. That instinct didn't come from nowhere. It came from people who spent years learning the craft.
Music went through this with Napster. The work went everywhere, and the people who made it were the last to be asked. Expertise is going through the same thing now, and nothing is in place yet to keep it tied to the people it came from.
We believe taste is human. It comes from what you've lived, the people you've designed for and the things you care about. AI can learn from that. It shouldn't get to pass it off as its own.
Designers shouldn't be spectators to this. They should be the ones in charge.
That's why we're building Morpius.
Taste is the work now
Agents can make a hundred screens in an afternoon. Making things is no longer the hard part. Knowing which one is right, and why, is.
That judgment is what makes a designer valuable. In Morpius your agent does the making and you make the calls. Nothing lands until you approve it. Use it to find out whether an idea holds up before anyone builds it.
Agents should learn how you work
Every agent starts from zero. You explain your design system, your users and your past decisions again, every session, and it still guesses.
It should be the other way around. Morpius gives your agent a memory of what you know and what you've decided, so it starts where you left off. Every decision you approve teaches it a little more.
Your expertise stays yours
Your principles, your decisions and the reasons behind them came from your experience. They belong to you. AI should work for the people it learns from, not the other way around.
In Morpius they live in plain files in a folder you own. Every principle has a name on it. You can read them, change them and take them with you. Morpius doesn't train on them.
Power shouldn't sit in one place
The labs build the models, and they're good at it. But if the company that makes the model also owns your tools and everything you've taught them, all the power sits with them.
We think those parts should stay separate. The model comes from the lab. Your knowledge and your rules stay with you, and work with the agent you choose.
Early access
Morpius is in early access. It works with Claude Code or Codex, on your own subscription.
If you know what good looks like, you should be the one in charge.
